§ 71.46. Speed limits established

  • (A) Where no special hazard exists that requires lower speed for compliance with § 71.45, the speed of any vehicle not in excess of the limits specified in this section or established as hereinafter authorized shall be lawful.

    (B) Any speed in excess of the limits specified in this section or established as hereinafter authorized shall be prima facie evidence that the speed is not reasonable or prudent and that it is unlawful:

    (1) Thirty miles per hour in any business or residential district unless signs which designate a different speed are erected in accordance with this subchapter.

    (2) Those speed limits as set forth in Chapter 73, Schedule III, Speed limits.

    (3) Fifteen miles per hour speed limit in all city parks.
